I live in Chile a country of Latin-American, a region that historically has been marked by discrimination against woman.
During many centuries the male has dominated the world of work relegating the female to house work. But from XX century the Chilean society has changed and woman to increase their participation in working life by increasing participation in the political world too.
Today in Chile in the labor market is increasingly female presence, and works that was only for men now have almost the same number of men and woman, for example law or the police.
But even today the discrimination against women in the world of work continued. In most of the work although there is no impediment to women entering the, salaries received by women are in many cases significantly lower than a man would. And although women have a job is she who is generally responsible for household chores prevent women can have the same workload that men and therefore the same salary that men.
So this we could say that women life is than harder men life in Chile and therefore the chances that a woman is much smaller than a man can have
In conclusion in Chile and Latin-American the situation of women has improved in recent years in the labor market generating more employment and better jobs for them. But this is still a small step as she still needed to ensure stability and a fair wage between men and women in Chile and the region.
